The Hope House

The Hope Centre, St Helens was established as a local charity in 2004. The Centre’s aim is to work with the vulnerable and disadvantaged across two Centres by developing Advice, Advocacy, Support, Life Skill and Vocational training programmes.

Hope House, Church St, is our provision for the homeless, those at risk of homelessness and substance misusers.

The Urban Café provides essential nutritional and personal care, including breakfast club, emergency food hampers, shower and laundry facilities.

The Advice and Advocacy service aims to provide service users with support to secure accommodation, access drug and alcohol treatment and health services.

From walking in through the doors of the Hope Centre I have found it to be a lifeline to sanity and well-being. The staff are friendly, qualified, approachable, relaxed and caring. If they can’t help with a problem they will go out of their way to put you in touch with someone who can.
