As a major partner in the St Helns Entry to Employment Partnership St Helens Chamber offers a work placement programme to E2E participants.

Workability is part of the St Helens E2E provision managed by St Helens College.

Young people can sample various occupational areas with an employer whilst attending Starting Point weekly to achieve a qualification.

The young person can choose to do Basic Skills or Key Skills. For those interested in Administration or Retail, the opportunity to study to NVQ1 is available.

The programme can last for 12 months depending on their needs and requirements.

The programme suits young people who are not sure what type of work they wish to pursue, or who need extra support when first on placement with an employer.

IIt is hoped that participants will move onto apprenticeships.
