Although Starting Point is not an employment agency, we do promise to assist you to get a job, write a CV or get a place on a course, by giving you advice, information, guidance, coaching and support.
What is our aim?
To promote the personal development of our clients by providing comprehensive and professional information, advice and guidance on issues related to employment, education and training. Our services to individual clients are free and ongoing.

How do you make an appointment?

Through our receptionist or by telephone. |

Clients should normally allow approximately one hour for a full guidance interview. |

We also operate a 'drop in' service to deal with straight forward or brief queries. |

We can arrange to see you at a venue near to where you live if it is more convenient. |

Who are we?
Starting Point is a partnership between St Helens Chamber
Connexions St Helens, and St Helens College. Our Guidance
staff are qualified and experienced guidance practitioners.
We operate under funding from the Single Regeneration Budget
and the European Social Fund. Starting Point is a member of
St Helens Information Advice and Guidance Network and is Matrix
accredited by the Guidance Accreditation Board.

It may be that the best way we can help you is to refer you to another organisation. If this is the case, we will not refer you or disclose any confidential personal information, without your prior permission.
