Contact Trees Community Centre to arrange a time to enroll on a Maths & English course. Sessions are every Tuesday 9.30am – 11.30am.
This is Learn Direct course – delivered through Shaw Trust in St Helens – offering you an opportunity to discover what your strengths are in Maths & English which leads to a nationally recognised qualification. You will have a qualified tutor on hand throughout your studies, and being a computer based course, you’re able to take away your learning and continue it yourself.
Certificates in Maths and English can lead to a qualification. The first step is to look at your goals, and alongside friendly staff at your local centre, decide which course is best for you.
To gain a qualification you will need to complete an assessment, but this doesn’t necessarily mean a written exam – it could be an online test taken using a computer or even a practical work-based project.
Many learndirect courses now include features to help you practise and prepare for assessments, so you can build your confidence before you take the test. Staff at the centres are also available to help you throughout your course, so they can support you in any areas you struggle with. Only when you’re ready do you take the test.
